From forgotten goat shed... to a soulful home in the mountains
This house wasn't always like this. In fact, what is now a bright, warm, and modern home was, for decades, a goat shed—a rough stone and wood structure, devoid of light, views, and life other than that of the animals who found shelter there during the mountain winters
In 2018, we decided to buy this forgotten space, knowing it had something special: its orientation, its ancient walls, its connection to the history of Sotres… and above all, its potential to become a place where time stands still. The transformation was complete and respectful. The original structures were reinforced, large windows were opened to let the landscape unfold, and every corner was designed with those seeking more than just accommodation in mind. Here, rural memory and contemporary comfort, stone and light, tradition and design now coexist. This house hasn't simply been renovated. It has been lovingly, calmly, and thoughtfully reinvented to become the perfect setting for those seeking nature, beauty, and authenticity
